I was so excited when Luke’s mom contacted me for his senior portraits! Having photographed their oldest son’s senior photos and a family session, I already knew that Luke was a really cool guy with a huge passion for rodeo. I always really enjoy working with people who just know what they love and go after big goals, and it’s a fun bonus to include pieces of those things in their photos too.

This studio branding photoshoot with Elizabeth brings exactly the right energy to enter the New Year with - so NYE feels like the perfect day to share this blog feature! I don’t always blog “mini” sessions, but this one really packed a punch, even with a shorter session time.

If Stranger Things took place in Opelika Alabama, Vecna wouldn’t stand a chance against these kids! 6 of my incredibly awesome and creative Class of 2026 senior portrait clients joined me for a creative Stranger Things photoshoot in Historic Downtown Opelika this month to celebrate the release of Season 5! Each wore outfits and had props that related to the show and it’s time period and characters.

We kept Cord’s session streamlined with three classic outfits, mixing button-down shirts, vests, and a polished sport coat. Cord also brought along a few meaningful props: a basketball and soccer ball to represent his favorite sports, plus his rifle and a cap to highlight his love of hunting. The session stayed under an hour, Cord crushed it, the fall colors showed up, and mom was thrilled…which, honestly, is the goal. That’s how you do senior guy photos!

Anna Kate’s session is a great example of how thoughtful planning - mixing multiple locations, varied color palettes, casual and dressy outfits, and both family and senior portraits - creates a gallery that feels full, intentional, and personal. Olivia’s session took us to Botanic and the Auburn Arboretum! This Auburn senior session began with family portraits, and the whole photoshoot was full of beauty and fall magic - a perfect reflection of this season of life!

Lily is an Opelika High senior, and younger sister to a beautiful senior I worked with last year, Hannah! Over the course of Hannah’s senior year, I was able to work with both Hannah and Lily in front of the camera, and these girls have always been so great at finding different moods and expressions! I was so excited to see Lily again as she celebrates her own senior year.

Dylan’s senior session was such a fun mix of personality, family, and meaningful locations around Auburn! I first met Dylan earlier in the school year during our big Auburn High School spirit photoshoot, but this time the spotlight was all on him, and a few sweet family moments too.

Every now and then I get to do a photoshoot that is a little outside of my normal routine, and it just lights me up as a photographer! That was certainly the case for this session with Carol, a retired physician who wanted to create a set of photos that captured her personality and style in a lifestyle setting.

It’s always a joy when familiar faces return in front of my camera, and the Cox family’s fall session at Botanic was such a wonderful continuation of their story! Carter and Luke have grown so much since last year, and like most little boys, they brought plenty of energy to this Auburn family photography session!

So excited to share this special Lee Scott senior portrait session today! Davis is a multi-sport athlete, a golfer, a devoted Auburn fan, and a soon-to-be Auburn University student! We were able to celebrate all of those passions throughout his senior portrait session in Auburn, which included meaningful locations, special props, and even some family involvement, which made the entire experience personal to him.

The Meacham family recently welcomed their sweet son Collin into the world, and I had the joy of joining them in their home to capture his first weeks of life on the outside. Avalon and Grant are already such proud and loving parents, and the connection between the three of them filled every moment of their in-home newborn session with warmth. Lifestyle newborn photography is all about documenting those authentic, love-filled moments, and this Auburn, Alabama family session was the perfect example of that.

The Neuhoff family recently joined me in the studio for a mini family session that put the spotlight on their two adorable puppies, Blue and Peep! These teeny tiny siblings may live in different cities with different members of the family, but they are so cute when they reunite!

Aniston had some creative special requests for the style of her senior portrait session and I was totally here for it! Inspired by moody vintage photographs and fantasy literature, we visited several unique locations around Auburn and Opelika to bring her vision to life!

I was so honored to take Maddy’s senior portraits in 2021, so it was really fun to reconnect and celebrate her next step into a fun and fulfilling career at Olive & Eden.

This maternity portrait session with Sarah was a literal dream come true! As a photographer, I have followed so many wonderful maternity photographers who specialize in dramatic, bold, goddess-like maternity portraits in-studio, and I’ve wanted so badly to create something in that same category. Thankfully, Sarah was totally on board to bring that vision to life as we celebrated her pregnancy!
