Carol | Lifestyle Portrait Session Auburn AL

Every now and then I get to do a photoshoot that is a little outside of my normal routine, and it just lights me up as a photographer! That was certainly the case for this session with Carol, a retired physician who wanted to create a set of photos that captured her personality and style in a lifestyle setting.

This session included so many fabulous elements, from Carol’s stunning wardrobe options to her sweet (and incredibly fast and hard to catch) puppy Gracie (ask me how I know about Gracie’s speed and agility ha). Our settings included ornately decorated living spaces, gardens, and greenhouses. We played with color and light and expression, all things that also spoke to Carol, who is a talented artist herself! I’ve seen her sketches and paintings, and know that she is way too humble about that talent. Don’t let her tell you she isn’t any good, or that she’s just “okay” - that simply isn’t true!

Every part of this session was full of grace and elegance, and working with Carol was an absolute delight. I am so thrilled for her to have images that she loves and that really represent her well in this part of her life story! If you’re a woman reading this, please please take a note from Carol and take the opportunity to be photographed in a way that makes you feel like the queens that you are! I’m SO here for it!
