Sarah | Glam Studio Maternity Photo Session

This maternity portrait session with Sarah was a literal dream come true! As a photographer, I have followed so many wonderful maternity photographers who specialize in dramatic, bold, goddess-like maternity portraits in-studio, and I’ve wanted so badly to create something in that same category. Thankfully, Sarah was totally on board to bring that vision to life as we celebrated her pregnancy!

Sarah is expecting a baby girl, but for this session we mainly focused on earthy neutral tones. Our first outfit was a satin impact dress with so much volume and flow! I love how satin fabrics pick up light and shadow, which really accentuates baby bump curves and gives the whole scene a rich, luxurious feeling!

Another style I’ve wanted to photograph for a long long time is maternity clients with chiffon/silk fabric draping, and Sarah modeled this look so beautifully! Staying with a neutral theme, we captured both fitting and flowing styles of draping - so stunning and romantic.

Our last look did bring in a little pop of pink for a brighter angelic set of draped chiffon photos. It was super sweet to see Sarah light up about her little girl as we transitioned to this girly setup :) And of course, I can’t wrap up this session without giving credit to Tori Mejia for the beautiful hair and makeup for this session! Sarah really did look like a goddess!

Now here’s my plea - I KNOW this style is not common in Auburn/Opelika right now….but can we start making it a thing? Because this absolutely cannot be the last photoshoot I do like this! Expecting mommas, let me help you feel like the beautiful pregnant princesses you all are! Please and thank you!
