Lily | Downtown Opelika Senior Portraits

Some photo sessions just feel like they flow naturally from one setting to the next, and Lily’s senior portraits were a great example of that! Each stop featured a different part of her story and style, creating a beautiful senior year time capsule gallery!

We began at First Baptist Opelika, where the tall white columns and bright staircase set the stage for something elegant. Lily wore a classic black dress that popped beautifully against the crisp white backdrop. She brought her trumpet, a perfect nod to her role as drum major for Opelika High School and her musical talents, and the formal timeless vibe of these portraits made them feel extra special.

From there, we headed to the heart of downtown Opelika, stopping outside some shops and a vibrant flower mural. It was only fitting for a senior named Lily to have flowers in her photos! She wore a kelly green top that not only played into the floral theme but also made her eyes stand out in the best way!

Next, we switched gears to something more relaxed. Lily changed into a cozy flannel and wide-leg pants for a stop at the creek in Monkey Park. She brought along her guitar, and we captured her in her element—comfortable, expressive, and completely herself.

Our last location was closer to home…literally! In her own neighborhood! Here we included her sweet corgi, Cookie, for the final set of portraits. Lily wore a flowing floral dress, with guitar in hand, posed by a quiet creek and a private pond that reflected the evening light and hints of soft sunset colors. It was such a peaceful way to end the day.

In between snapping photos, we talked about her passion for music and bonded (while also fanning ourselves) as we all endured the truly unbearable Alabama summer heat and humidity together. It was one of those sessions where the heat was worth it, because every single location and outfit came together to create something uniquely hers.
