Ava | Callaway Gardens Senior Portraits

Class of 2025 senior Ava had a super memorable spring senior portrait session at Callaway Gardens before she graduated from Auburn High School, and I’m not sure how I haven’t shared this whole session yet! So many awesome highlights!!

We jumped right in with a winning combination - a beautiful girl and her beautiful dog! Ava brought Maisie, her border collie mix pup, and they were a picture perfect pair. Also, you know I love color, and the sweet spring greens of Ava’s outfit and the grass and trees was a favorite monochromatic moment from this session.

While we were a tiny bit late in the spring for the peak azalea bloom, there were still some beautiful spots along some of the azalea trails with blooms that complimented Ava’s adorable pink dress! One section that we found had an almost exact color match! Meant to be :)

And of course, a trip to Callaway Gardens wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the magical butterfly gardens! And we made it just in time for a quick 10 minute set of photos before they closed for the day. While the butterflies did prove to be a bit elusive, we found a few spots with butterflies that were not camera shy at all! Ava’s sunny yellow dress and note filled/highlighted Bible completed the look, giving this set of photos a special joyful feeling.

Callaway is FULL of different garden scenes, and our next stop gave us a totally different style with colorful kites, low planter boxes filled with flowers, arbors, and fences!

This was a great spot to show off Ava’s college choice - Samford! The bulldog hand symbol was a fun idea from Ava :)

Ava’s session ended how I wish every summer senior session could! At the beach! This spot and outfit also had special significance - Ava got her outfit during a trip to Hawaii, a place she LOVES, and the tropical trees and beachy structures were perfect to pull in as a nod to her favorite travels and just being a beach girl in general! I was so pleasantly surprised to have such a unique location available alongside all of the other beautiful Callaway Garden scenes.
