Studio Dance Minis - Spring 2025

Earlier this spring, I had the joy of co-hosting a dance mini session day alongside Stacy Young and Variations Studio in preparation for their upcoming production of The Lion King. The energy in the studio was so special as each dancer stepped in front of the camera with confidence and grace. With Stacy directing the movement and myself behind the lens, we were able to capture beautiful and sweet moments that reflected the heart and strength of each dancer.

I was blown away by the talent and dedication of these young performers, and each dancer brought their own spark to the session. These portraits aren’t just about costumes and technique—they’re about capturing the passion and personality that dancers pour into every movement.

In addition to working with the Variations dancers, I had a special opportunity to photograph my own daughter, which is always a treat for me as both a mom and a photographer. Performance weekends are always an emotional roller coaster, and I’m thankful to have these photos to look back on as she grows as a dancer!
